Vinification
Bolgheri Rosso grows in vineyards lying at 100 to 200 metres’ elevation, in soils composed of quarzitic sandstone, a mix of clays, fossil-rich flysch marl, and red sands, and with a classic marine breeze-tempered Mediterranean climate. Our viticultural philosophy and practices, firmly based on respect for the environment, ensure a naturally-balanced, unforced grape crop, an essential requirement for producing wines that are authentically terroir-expressive. The vineyards, averaging 24 years old, are manually harvested. Bolgheri Rosso ferments in stainless steel, followed by an 8-month maturation in small oak barrels, then bottling in August 2022.
